Central High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades in Newark, in Essex County, New Jersey, United States, operating as part of the Newark Public Schools.
As of the 2012-13 school year, the school had an enrollment of 779 students and 79.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.86:1. There were 663 students (85.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 55 (7.1% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.〔(School Data for Central High School ), National Center for Education Statistics.
